We are a newly opened café at Truck Stop Pizza, and we\’re excited to introduce our Full English Breakfast service

We\’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Assistant (Dinner Lady) to join our growing team. You\’ll play an important role in providing a welcoming, homely breakfast experience for our customers — mainly drivers and locals — ensuring meals are served efficiently, safely, and with care.

This position is weekday mornings only, ideal for someone who enjoys early starts and a friendly, team-focused environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 11:00am

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of Full English breakfasts and other morning menu items.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining area before, during, and after breakfast service.

• Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.

• Provide friendly, attentive service to all customers, addressing any dietary needs or preferences.

• Perform basic data entry for meal counts, stock control, and breakfast records.

• Promote daily specials or healthy options to support upselling initiatives.

• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth, efficient morning service.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong communication skills to engage with customers and colleagues.

• Bilingual or multilingual abilities (especially English and Spanish) are highly desirable to serve our diverse customer base.

• Excellent phone etiquette for occasional communication with suppliers or customer inquiries.

• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining service standards.

• Experience with data entry or record-keeping is an advantage.
