Retail Assistant (Part Time)

Overview

We are looking for confident candidates with experience working in retail to join our sales team. The position available is within 1 of our 3 retail sites in Stockton & Thornaby.

Responsibilities

Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

• Serving customers and helping them find the clothing they require.
• Restocking the shop and keeping it clean and tidy.
• Picking clothing to satisfy orders.
• Carrying out stock takes.
• Attending school selling events in summer months.

Skills and Qualifications

• No experience is required; however, if candidates have worked in retail and clothing it would be more desirable.
• Candidates need to be flexible as there are additional ad hoc duties when the shop is quiet.
• The successful candidate will work at either Motif8 Embroidery, Rawcliffes of Stockton or Tees Valley Schoolwear.
• There may be a requirement to move between stores to cover personnel during holidays and sickness.

Hours of Work and Pay

We are looking for a variety of candidates from full time to part time. The shops are open Monday to Saturday 09:00 – 17:00, so hours of work will be within this time window.

Wages are based on a candidate\’s capability; however, they are likely to start at minimum wage for the duration of the probationary period (6 months).
