About the role

Reporting to the Advanced Solutions Sales Team Manager, the Coaching & Development Trainer is responsible for the training, development, and retention of staff within the Motia Advanced Solutions team. The Advanced Solutions Sales team operates from our Antrim office and field based across the UK and Ireland. This role will support this sales team in achieving targets through the continuous development of skills, capability, and product knowledge in person and via teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure new recruits receive an excellent introduction to the business by delivering the induction programme in a dynamic and engaging way.
  • Provide on the job training for the Advanced Solutions team in line with the post-induction training schedule.
  • Deliver regular refresher training and support additional training needs across the sales team.
  • Deliver structured and engaging one to one coaching that positively influences sales performance and builds consultative selling capability, ensuring all coaching activity is documented and followed up consistently.
  • Review training effectiveness, learner feedback, and best practice across the business, working in partnership with the L&D Business Partner to enhance training programmes and ensure materials remain current, consistent, and version controlled.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of telematics products, competitors, and the wider market, ensuring this knowledge is effectively communicated and embedded within the team.
  • Travel as required to support training and development needs of the sales team and wider business.
  • Deliver and promote training on Motia Telematics Advanced Solutions across the wider business, including Smart Solutions and fuel teams, covering new products, services, and initiatives.
  • Liaise regularly with Sales Managers and the Fleet Sales Director to review new starter progress and agree training and coaching objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with the DCC Code of Conduct and all relevant Group policies.
  • Attend quarterly L&D review meetings.
  • Support the L&D Business Partner in delivering training for the wider Antrim offering when required.

Requirements

About You

  • Previous experience in a training or coaching role preferred.
  • Experience working in an office environment essential, preferably with Business to Business Sales experience.
  • Supervisory skills would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages – Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Good communicator, both oral and presentation, with a professional confident manner and excellent customer service skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to organise and prioritise.
  • Resilience when working under pressure with a strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
  • Target conscious and results driven.
  • Full UK driving license.
