Role Description
Due to high demand for our services, we are seeking a motivated, on-site Associate Podiatrist on either a part-time or full-time basis (self-employed position). The Associate Podiatrist will provide comprehensive podiatric assessments, diagnose and treat foot and lower limb conditions, and develop individualized care plans for patients. Day-to-day duties include routine and high-risk foot care, orthotic prescription and review, and management of patients with diabetes and other complex health conditions. The role involves accurate clinical documentation, participation in multidisciplinary communication, and adherence to relevant clinical guidelines and infection control standards. The Associate Podiatrist will also contribute to patient education, support service development, and maintain continuing professional development.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in Podiatry, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a range of foot and lower limb conditions.
- Knowledge of Biomechanics and Orthotics, including gait analysis and prescribing, fitting, and reviewing orthotic devices.
- Experience in the assessment and management of Diabetes-related foot complications, including preventive care and risk monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Podiatry and current registration with the HCPC.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills, attention to detail in record-keeping, and commitment to evidence-based practice and infection control.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a small clinical team and engage with diverse patient populations.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, adapt to service needs, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
