Mothercare Global Brand is looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join our Merchandising team in Apsley on a 12 month FTC basis. Within this role you will support the Merchandising team and will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the clothing Merchandising team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the department.
Tasks will include:
- Updating and feeding into weekly trackers (e.g. PO tracker / Critical Path tracker). Providing regular updates to the B&M team. Issue the weekly availability report and summarise key KPI’s and concerns to the team.
- Daily management of the PO tracker daily. Pro-actively identify potential issues, work with key stakeholders to resolve to ensure on-time handover, aiming for 100% Availability.
- Working closely with Manufacturing Partners, Supply Chain and Freight Forwarders to manage the stock handover process. Building strong relationships with these key stakeholders to support on any queries.
- Support team with placing new orders with Manufacturing Partners through OEC and contracting process.
- Work closely with Buying to review weekly critical paths, flagging any issues to the wider B&M team.
- Pulling accurate data to support with analysis.
- Maintain accuracy of our planning and reporting systems.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong admin experience and excellent analytical / numeracy skills.
- Be process orientated and have a good understanding of critical path management.
- Have good communication skills and works well in a team.
- Have strong attention to detail, be adaptable and pro-active. Enjoys problem solving.
- Be competent in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulas). Confident in using and learning PLM systems and other Microsoft Office applications

- This team works 1 - 2 days per week from our Apsley office. This is non negotiable, so please only apply if you’re within a reasonable commute of the office. There may occasions where you are required in the office additional days during the week however, these are preplanned.
