Job Description
Mothercare Global Brand is searching for a Merchandising Assistant to join the team on a Fixed Term Contract basis.
The Merchandising Assistant (MA) will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Home & Travel Merchandising Team (Merchandiser and Senior Merchandiser), ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the department.
Tasks will include:
- Updating and feeding into weekly trackers (e.g. PO tracker/ Deposit tracker/ Critical Path tracker). Providing regular updates to the Buying & Merchandising teams. Issue the weekly availability report and summarise key KPI’s and concerns to the team.
- Daily management of the PO tracker daily. Pro-actively identify potential issues, work with key stakeholders to resolve to ensure on-time handover, aiming for 100% Availability.
- Working closely with Manufacturing Partners, Supply Chain and Freight Forwarders to manage the stock handover process. Building strong relationships with these key stakeholders to support on any queries.
- Support team with placing new orders with Manufacturing Partners through OEC and contracting process.
- Work closely with the Buying team to review weekly critical paths, flagging any issues to the wider Buying & Merchandising teams.
- Pulling accurate data to support with analysis.
- Maintain accuracy of our planning and reporting systems.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong admin experience and excellent analytical/numeracy skills.
- Be process orientated and have a good understanding of critical path management.
- Have good communication skills and works well in a team.
- Have strong attention to detail, be adaptable and pro-active. Enjoys problem solving.
- Be competent in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulas). Confident in using and learning PLM systems and other Microsoft Office applications
