Mothercare Global Brand is seeking a Junior Buyer on a permanent basis for the girlswear department. The junior buyer is responsible for all aspects of the department with the support and guidance from the Buyer and Head of Clothing Buying to oversee their work and personal development.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Work with merchandising and design to build a commercial range; is able with the support of HOB to build a supplier and departmental strategy.
- Works with wider team to ensure they fully understand sales data/feedback and how to use that to positively impact their range.
- Carries out regular competitor shops and uses information gathered to impact range development and build.
- Is passionate about product and works closely with design and the supply base to create products in line with our handwriting and strategic goals.
- Understands how to interpret trend into a brand appropriate commercial product opportunity.
- Demonstrates ability to build relationships with stakeholders in the business to support the development and selling of our product.
- Will begin to present ranges to internal and external stakeholders.
- With support from senior team members can manage team in line with department requirements.
- Understands the importance of mothercare systems e.g. PLM, pricing sheets etc., and how to use them.
- Can confidently and professionally work with suppliers to ensure the Critical Path is managed and costings are fair, accurate and workable for mothercare.
- Is organised and able to prioritise tasks for themselves and their team.
