The Company
Mother is a London-based tech start-up on a mission to reinvent vending and automated retail. Our smart vending machines are designed with cutting-edge tech, sleek user experience, and real-time data tracking — putting us at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing sectors in retail. Since 2014, we’ve built a strong client list including Apple, Amazon, Virgin Active, Visa, ASOS, McLaren and more. We’ve also recently launched global tech projects with brands like PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Vodafone, and Huel. With operations expanding across the UK, our London HQ remains the heart of the business — home to our tech, ops, and commercial teams. We’re now growing our London-based field team to ensure our machines across the capital are running smoothly and delivering a great customer experience.
The Role
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Driver/Vending Operator to join our London operations team. You’ll be based out of our London hub, supporting daily stock deliveries and vending machine refills across the city and the south. This is more than just a driving job — you’ll be the face of Mother on-site, making sure machines are stocked, clean, and running smoothly. You’ll be part of a wider team, with support from the Ops Manager and Driver Leads, and you’ll receive full training to get you up to speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and refill stock across a set route of smart vending machines
- Keep machines clean, presentable, and in working order
- Perform basic checks and report any issues (training provided)
- Keep accurate records of stock levels and machine performance
- Communicate with the wider team on replenishment and tech issues
- Support other drivers and jump on different routes as needed
- Ensure your van is loaded properly and kept clean and road-ready
- Represent the brand with a positive and professional attitude on-site
- Occasionally help with warehouse tasks at the depot (stock checks, loading, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a driving, delivery or field-based role
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own route
- Strong time management and reliability
- Friendly, proactive, and happy to pitch in wherever needed
- Full UK driving licence required
- Experience in vending, FMCG or retail delivery is a bonus (but not essential)
