The Company Mother is a London-based tech start-up on a mission to reinvent vending and automated retail. Our smart vending machines are designed with cutting-edge tech, sleek user experience, and real-time data tracking — putting us at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing sectors in retail. Since 2014, we’ve built a strong client list including Apple, Amazon, Virgin Active, Visa, ASOS, McLaren and more. We’ve also recently launched global tech projects with brands like PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Vodafone, and Huel.
As we grow across the UK, we’re excited to announce our new Rochdale depot, set up to support our expanding operations in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, and Sheffield. Our Midlands team has been doing a great job getting things going, and now we’re building a permanent local team to take it forward.
The Role We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Driver to join our Northern operations team. You’ll be based out of our brand-new Rochdale depot, supporting daily stock deliveries and machine refills across the region. This is more than just a driving job — you’ll be the face of Mother on-site, making sure machines are stocked, clean, and running smoothly. You’ll be part of a wider team, with support from the Ops Manager and Drivers Lead, and training provided to get you up to speed.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and refill stock across a set route of smart vending machines
- Keep machines clean, presentable, and in working order
- Perform basic checks and report any issues (training provided)
- Keep accurate records of stock levels and machine performance
- Communicate with the wider team on replenishment and tech issues
- Support other drivers and jump on different routes as needed
- Ensure your van is loaded properly and kept clean and road-ready
- Represent the brand with a positive and professional attitude on-site
- Occasionally help with warehouse tasks at the depot (stock checks, loading, etc.)
- Previous experience in a driving, delivery or field-based role
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own route
- Strong time management and reliability
- Friendly, proactive, and happy to pitch in wherever needed
- Full UK driving licence required
- Experience in vending, FMCG or retail delivery is a bonus (but not essential)
