Cocktail Waiter – Mother & 45:33
Opening in Belfast this year, Mother will be an innovative and stylish cocktail bar featuring a roof terrace, dispense bar and regular DJs. The venue will operate independently but work closely together on production with a new listening bar, 45:33.
We are looking for engaging and service-focused Cocktail Waiters to join the team at Mother and help bring the concept to life.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team at Mother and play an important part in delivering their distinctive cocktail and guest experiences.
As Cocktail Waiter, you will welcome and look after guests, provide knowledgeable drinks recommendations and deliver attentive, polished table service.

What you’ll do:
- Support the successful opening and ongoing operation of Mother
- Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, knowledgeable and professional table service
- Take accurate drinks orders and use the till and ordering systems correctly
- Present and serve cocktails and other drinks efficiently and in line with agreed service standards
- Develop strong knowledge of the cocktail menus, ingredients, techniques and wider drinks offering
- Confidently guide guests through the menus, make suitable recommendations and respond to questions
- Work closely with the bar and floor teams to ensure orders are delivered accurately and without unnecessary delay
- Monitor tables throughout the guest journey, anticipate needs and respond professionally to feedback
- Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties while maintaining excellent standards of presentation and organisation
- Follow all hygiene, health and safety, licensing and responsible alcohol service requirements
About you:
- Previous experience in table service, cocktail service, a premium bar or a similar hospitality environment is preferred
- A genuine interest in cocktails, drinks and delivering memorable guest experiences
- Confident working during busy service while maintaining warmth, accuracy and attention to detail
- A people person who builds positive relationships with guests and colleagues
- A strong communicator with good organisational skills and a professional approach
- Willingness to learn, develop product knowledge and contribute positively to team training
- Confident making recommendations and explaining menu items clearly
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
