Cocktail Bartender – Mother & 45:33
Opening in Belfast this year, Mother and 45:33 will be two distinctive new cocktail-led venues, each with its own style, atmosphere and offering.
Mother will be an innovative and stylish cocktail bar featuring a roof terrace, dispense bar and regular DJs.
45:33 will be an intimate listening bar with a conceptual cocktail list, a high-fidelity sound system and a curated DJ programme.
While the venues will operate independently, they will work closely together on production.
We are looking for talented Cocktail Bartenders to join the team across both venues and help bring their individual concepts to life.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team at Mother and 45:33 and play an important part in delivering their distinctive cocktail and guest experiences.
As Cocktail Bartender, you will prepare and serve consistently high-quality drinks, share your knowledge with guests and help create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere across both venues.
The rate of pay for this role is £12.71 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- Support the successful opening and ongoing operation of Mother and 45:33
- Prepare and serve cocktails and other drinks efficiently, accurately and to agreed specifications
- Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable experience for every guest
- Ensure every cocktail is prepared and presented consistently and in line with agreed quality standards
- Develop strong knowledge of the cocktail menus, ingredients, techniques and wider drinks offering across both venues
- Complete preparation to ensure the bar is organised and ready for service
- Support stock control, deliveries, opening and closing procedures and the completion of required checks
- Respond professionally to customer questions and feedback, escalating issues to a supervisor or manager where appropriate
- Maintain excellent standards of bar presentation, organisation, cleanliness and product quality
- Follow all hygiene, health and safety, licensing and responsible alcohol service requirements
About you:
- Previous experience as a Cocktail Bartender in a cocktail bar, premium bar or similar hospitality environment (at least 6 months)
- Strong cocktail knowledge and a genuine interest in drinks, ingredients, techniques and presentation
- Confident working during busy service while maintaining accuracy, pace and attention to detail
- A people person who builds positive working relationships with colleagues and guests
- A strong communicator with good organisational skills and a professional approach
- Willingness to learn, develop product knowledge and contribute positively to team training
- A passion for exceptional customer experiences and consistently high-quality drinks
- An understanding and appreciation of Belfast’s nightlife, cocktail and music scene
- Enthusiastic, hands-on and comfortable working in a busy service environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
