The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

Hybrid: 3 days in our Paddington offices, 2 days working from home.

Reporting to: Global Category Manager

Contract type: Permanent, full time (5 days)

Working hours: 40 hours a week including a paid lunch hour. Flexible start (between 8am and 10am) and finish (between 4pm and 6pm) times.

The Role

We’re looking for a Category Executive to turn category and shopper data into actionable insights that drive growth for both the MOTH brand and the fast-growing Ready-to-Drink (RTD) category. In this role you will support in upskilling the entire business in category data and insight, take ownership to regularly report on category and brand performance, and you will have the opportunity to manage your own external relationships. You will support key initiatives such as brand planning, range reviews, and new product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Market & Category Analysis: Analyse category performance, shopper behaviour and competitor activity from a number of data sources to identify trends and future opportunities/challenges. Translate data into insight and recommendations that will help to grow the RTD category and MOTH brand, and inform category strategy, range decisions and commercial planning. Category analysis to assess and track new product development (NPD) performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Manage the internal reporting process, tracking MOTH’s role in the category using key performance indicators such as sales, market share and distribution. Clearly communicate category and brand performance internally through one-pagers, monthly updates, and regular presentations.
  • Retailer Collaboration: Deliver compelling category presentations, range reviews and insight-led recommendations to retail customers with confidence. Influence range, space and fixturisation through data-led storytelling and strong customer engagement. Act as a key category contact for selected retail customers, managing day-to-day relationships and working collaboratively with buyers as well as category and merchandising teams. Build strong, trusted relationships with external retail partners.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure alignment against the category and brand strategies. Support the Global Category Manager with ad‑hoc analysis, research projects, the strategic category vision, and managing data sources/agencies.

Who you are

  • Ideally 2+ years of experience within the FMCG industry in a data-driven category, insight or analyst role.
  • Experience in analysing data and shaping it into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of data platforms such as: NielsenIQ, IRI, Kantar, dunnhumby, Sainsburys Insight Platform, Shopper Intelligence.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across different levels, and build relationships and trust with others.
  • Strong storytelling, communication and presentation skills and a curious, analytical and pro‑active mindset.
  • Organised and able to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • A passion to work in a fast‑paced environment.
