Welcome to Motel. Motel was born from a 1990s road trip where founders Will and Andy collected vintage items while staying in motels. Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people, every piece of clothing we make carries that spirit of adventure. We operate from Worcester, a design studio in London, and a creative studio in Bali.
The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations and development of our online store, driving sales and enhancing the customer experience.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage end‐to‐end e‐commerce process, including product listings, search, site architecture, descriptions, inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Ensure website is up‐to‐date with latest products, pricing and promotions.
- Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to optimise online customer journey.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Plan and execute online marketing campaigns with the marketing team.
- Implement promotions, discounts and loyalty programmes to drive acquisition and retention.
Digital Marketing:
- Build and maintain digital marketing campaigns on Meta and TikTok.
- Create and optimise landing pages for campaigns across multiple territories.
Customer Service:
- Enhance overall customer experience through personalised communication and feedback mechanisms.
Website Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilise analytics tools to track e‐commerce performance metrics.
- Generate regular reports on sales, traffic and customer behaviour.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with marketing, sales and product teams to align online activities with business goals.
- Work with web developers, designers and third‐party vendors to optimise functionality and user experience.
Vendor and Partner Management:
- Manage relationships with third‐party vendors providing e‐commerce services.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and inspire a team of e‐commerce professionals.
- Provide coaching, training and support for team success.
- Conduct weekly meetings and one‐to‐one sessions.
- Manage workloads and set weekly tasks.
- Motivate team to meet objectives.
- Ensure completion of daily/weekly tasks.
Written Content Creation:
- Write and edit product descriptions, landing page copy and other website content.
- Develop SEO‐friendly content to improve traffic and rankings.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce or related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in ecommerce management.
- Strong understanding of platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Klaviyo.
- Proven success in driving online sales and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent analytical skills and data‐driven decision making.
- Proficient in SEO and digital marketing strategies.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, innovative, results‐oriented mindset.
