A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced, ambitious and passionate Hotel Manager (General Manager) to lead the opening and ongoing success of Motel One London-Southwark. Opening in late 2026/early 2027, this exciting new hotel will feature 222 beautifully designed guest rooms in one of London's most vibrant and dynamic locations.
We're looking for someone who thrives on creating something from the ground up. Someone who inspires others, embraces challenge and is excited by the opportunity to build an exceptional team, establish a strong presence in the local market and create memorable guest experiences from day one. Previous commercial experience and knowledge of the Southwark/South Bank market would be a distinct advantage.

As Hotel Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful opening and ongoing operation of Motel One London-Southwark. You are a passionate host who leads by example and creates an environment where both guests and employees feel genuinely welcome. You inspire your team through your energy, authenticity and commitment to excellence, whilst maintaining a clear focus on quality, guest satisfaction and commercial success.
Key responsibilities:- Lead the pre-opening project, ensuring the hotel is fully prepared for a successful launch.
- Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team that embodies the Motel One culture and values.
- Create a positive, engaging and inclusive working environment where people can thrive and grow.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the hotel, ensuring Motel One standards are consistently achieved.
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining exceptional quality across all areas of the business.
- Drive revenue growth and achieve budgeted financial targets through strong commercial leadership.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in collaboration with Head Office departments and provide regular updates to Regional Management.
- Build strong relationships within the local community and actively develop the hotel's commercial presence alongside the regional and central support teams.

- Several years of experience as a Hotel/General Manager within high volume branded hotels.
- Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop your team.
- Previous experience in the rooms division in the city or branded hotel industry.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, organisational skills and strong decision-making abilities.
- A passion about providing outstanding service to make every guest experience unforgettable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, an open and communicative manner and a positive attitude.
- Very good written and spoken English skills as well as sound knowledge of Microsoft 365.
