Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Front Office Agent for a 196‑room hotel located in a vibrant part of London, offering a lot of exciting projects to be involved in. The hotel is part of the award‑winning German‑based Motel One Group. Join our team and grab this unique opportunity!

The property, currently operating as the Lancaster Gate Hotel, is undergoing an extensive refurbishment and renovation in preparation for the final rebranding to our first Cloud One Hotel in London. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn beyond reception basics and enjoy working in a dynamic hotel environment, sharing pride with guests and the team.

Duties

  • Looking after our guests, including check‑in and check‑out
  • Reviewing and processing bookings, handling overbookings and options
  • Invoicing, managing payments, handling cash transactions and cashing up
  • Performing organisational and administrative tasks in the front and back office, such as managing no‑shows and answering emails
  • Gaining interdepartmental insights by working with multicultural teams
  • Knowledge of Front Office PMS such as Opera Cloud or Opera is an advantage
  • Flexibility to work a combination of shifts, including occasional night shifts if required

Qualifications

  • Completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade or professional experience in the hotel/catering industry
  • Excellent sense of quality and service, strong hosting skills and a passion for the hotel industry
  • Open, communicative and able to command solid English
  • Team player, willing to assist across departments – we achieve our results together
  • Preferably with knowledge of PMS such as Mews or Opera
  • Flexible with shift patterns
  • Full rights to work in the UK; the hotel does not offer sponsorship
