About The Role And Our Ideal Candidate:
- Supporting senior surveyors with lease events, such as lease renewals, rent reviews, exercising break options and disposals.
- Work closely with legal services to monitor progress of lease events.
- Assist with writing reports and keeping senior management informed.
- Contact tenants and undertake inspections across the commercial property portfolio.
- Ensure rents are paid and assist with debt management and reporting.
About You:
- Completed and obtained a degree in estates management or similar from a RICS accredited course (Essential).
- Experience of lease management including landlord and tenant processes (Essential).
- Keen interest in property management and a willingness to support and learn from more experienced senior staff (Desirable).
- Confidence to communicate with a range of stakeholders and keep them informed of progress (Essential).
- Be diligent and keep robust working records of caseload to ensure you are up to speed with progress (Essential).
- Be able to work independently but not be afraid to ask for help when required (Desirable).
About Us: Excellent opportunity to join a local authority property team in Kingston upon Thames. You will be joining a supportive group of senior surveyors and will work on a varied caseload of commercial and corporate property matters. This is a proactive team who work with a number of service areas and external tenants where strong communication skills are key. The property team manages a wide range of lease events and property management processes to ensure the council is a reliable and compliant landlord. This post will support the senior surveyors to ensure the property portfolio is managed smoothly and safely.
