MOT Tester Clear Automotive Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established Vehicle Repairer in Castleford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional dealership offering a fantastic work-life balance with Monday to Friday with limited weekend work.

Working within a modern, fully equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections, servicing and mechanical repairs on a range of prestige vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include

  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and regulations.
  • Inspect vehicles, diagnosing faults and identifying repairs required.
  • Completing servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs where necessary.
  • Recording MOT test results accurately using the DVSA testing system.
  • Producing clear and accurate inspection reports.
  • Advising on any defects or additional repair work required.
  • Fitting parts and carrying out additional workshop duties as required.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Working both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll have

  • A valid DVSA MOT Tester Licence (essential).
  • Previous experience as an MOT Tester within a dealership, independent garage or automotive workshop.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience carrying out servicing and repairs.
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent understanding of DVSA testing procedures and current legislation.
  • A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
