Bracknell (Hybrid 2-3 days in office) | Salary £70,000 - £75,000

Vue or React on the frontend, C# / .NET on the backend, AWS in production, and agentic coding tools as part of how you build every day. If that is your stack, and you have worked in payments, FX or another regulated environment, this could be a strong fit.

We are working with a payments company who are hiring a senior full stack engineer to own real problems end to end and help shape how the team builds.

What You Will Do
  • Design and own features across the stack that move money and manage multi-currency balances, spanning onboarding, KYC and KYB, payment initiation, FX and settlement
  • Lead delivery of customer-facing features, from the interface through to the services behind them
  • Own production health for your domain, including reliability, observability, on-call and incident response
  • Lead cross-functional delivery with product, design and compliance, from problem framing through to launch
  • Lead design reviews, set technical direction for your domain and mentor mid-level engineers
  • Use agentic coding tools daily across the development lifecycle and help modernise legacy services into the current stack
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience building production web applications end to end
  • Strong frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React or equivalent
  • Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET
  • Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals
  • Daily use of agentic coding tools across the development lifecycle
  • Production experience on AWS, including CI/CD and native services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS and Lambda
  • Strong system design and architecture experience, including microservices and event-driven patterns
  • Payments, FX or regulated-industry experience
  • A track record of technical leadership: mentoring, leading design reviews and making architecture decisions

If you want your code to matter, your decisions to land, and real ownership of how a payments platform is built, this is worth a conversation.

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines.
