The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of mechanical and electrical projects across the UK.

Projects will include M&E, HVAC, decarbonisation, asset replacement and related building services, often within live and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects safely, on programme, within budget and to required quality standards.
  • Manage client relationships and act as a senior point of contact for key stakeholders.
  • Oversee surveys, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Monitor programme, costs, risks, resources, variations and commercial performance.
  • Produce accurate forecasts, CVRs and project reporting.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for repeat and additional work.
  • Coach and support Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM, health & safety, quality and project-specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and effective lessons learned.
  • Provide site presence, including occasional out-of-hours attendance where required.

About You

You will have:

  • Proven senior project management experience within M&E, HVAC, building services or construction.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, ideally in live retail or other business-critical environments.
  • Strong client-facing, leadership and account-management skills.
  • Experience with areas such as decarbonisation, heat pumps, AHUs, ventilation, BEMS/controls or HVAC asset replacement.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including budgets, forecasting, variations, procurement and final accounts.
  • Experience leading Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and delivery partners.
  • Good understanding of design coordination, commissioning and handover.
  • Working knowledge of CDM, construction health & safety and quality assurance.
  • Good Microsoft 365 and project-planning skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
  • Experience with a major multi-site retailer.
  • Framework and multi-site programme experience.
  • Membership of CIBSE, CIOB, APM or a relevant engineering institution.

Required Certifications

  • SMSTS or equivalent.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • First Aid at Work, or willingness to obtain.

What We're Looking For

A commercially aware and confident project leader who can build strong relationships, make sound decisions under pressure and deliver complex projects successfully.

You will be organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to operate comfortably with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and clients.

If you are an experienced Senior Project Manager looking for a role combining major M&E project delivery, client leadership and commercial responsibility, we'd like to hear from you.
