What We\’re Looking For
- Professional qualifications and experience in one or more of the specified disciplines
- Strong auditing, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven track record in AE or senior technical roles, preferably in healthcare, education, defence, or PFI environments
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
Desirable Qualifications
- Chartered status or actively pursuing professional registration
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant HTMs and PFI contract standards (or commitment to learn)
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Excellence & Compliance
- Lead comprehensive audits of technical compliance and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
- Analyse data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Develop SMART action plans and provide early warning systems for non-compliance
- Conduct detailed investigations into technical failures and incidents
- Collaborate with fellow AEs and specialists on multi-disciplinary reviews
- Perform thorough root cause analysis
- Professional Development
- Mentor and assess Authorised Persons (APs), supporting their career progression
- Manage AP endorsements, including performance monitoring and interventions where required
- Create technical bulletins, toolbox talks, and training materials
- Stay current with industry developments and evolve procedures and standards
- Stakeholder Management
- Provide expert technical guidance to APs, managers, and clients
- Represent the organisation at safety committees and technical forums
- Communicate safety alerts, guidance updates, and procedural changes effectively
- Operational Support
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of site systems and operational risks
- Define and document operational constraints and demarcation points
