Job Title: Assistant Commercial Manager
Location: Dudley, West Midlands – Full Time (On-Site)
About the Role
We are working with a leading Facilities Management company and are looking for someone to join their Healthcare Commercial Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and make a real impact within a PFI contract.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, helping ensure services run smoothly and efficiently, while developing your commercial knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial team with day-to-day tasks and ensure contract requirements are met.
- Assist with maintenance work approvals, emergency notifications, and invoicing processes.
- Support the management of insurance claims, including gathering information and assisting in negotiations.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and invoicing.
- Contribute to training sessions and briefings to build commercial knowledge.
- Draft letters, manage correspondence, and keep track of important updates.
- Assist with pricing, productivity analysis, and market research.
- Help produce reports and maintain service documentation.
- Support the creation of tenancy agreements and other legal documents.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with previous experience in Facilities Management or the construction industry, ideally in a Junior or Assistant Commercial or Quantity Surveyor role. You should also have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and basic understanding of financial principles.
- Organised approach, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ideally studying towards or holding a qualification in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Willingness to learn about contracts and commercial processes.
- Analytical skills and experience with invoicing and preparing financial packages.
- Client-facing experience.
- PFI experience is desirable but not essential.
