Our client is a respected organisation operating within the facilities management and infrastructure sector, and they’re looking for a driven, commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is more than a role focused on costs and contracts. You’ll be working in a complex, fast-moving environment where commercial insight, collaboration and sound judgement are key to delivering successful projects and achieving value for money.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role across the full commercial lifecycle, supporting a range of facilities and infrastructure projects.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Scoping and pricing voids and project works
- Managing commercial reporting, cost modelling and forecasting
- Monitoring costs, risks and financial performance
- Managing change control and ensuring robust commercial governance
- Working with operational teams, clients and supply-chain partners
- Ensuring works are delivered to the required standards, on time and within budget
- Supporting commercial negotiations and dispute resolution
- Building strong, effective stakeholder relationships
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and developing commercial best practice
You’ll have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, challenge existing ways of working and make a real impact across the wider business.
What You’ll Bring
NEC experience is essential. You’ll need a strong understanding of NEC contracts and the confidence to apply your knowledge effectively within a live commercial environment.
You’ll also bring:
- Commercial experience within construction, property maintenance, facilities management or infrastructure
- Proven experience working with NEC contracts
- Strong knowledge of pricing, cost control and financial analysis
- A Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities
- Experience managing change, risk, forecasting and commercial reporting
