Quantity Surveyor Contractor - Hybrid

Job Title: Commercial Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Location: London
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Clearance: Willingness to obtain SC security clearance in the future

The Opportunity:
A leading specialist in architectural fit-out and construction services is looking for a Commercial Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to contribute to prestigious fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for fit-out and refurbishment projects, with strong understanding of JCT Design & Build and traditional forms of contract
Conduct quantity take-offs and create detailed bills of quantities
Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and requirements
Liaise closely with clients, architects, and project teams to align on project goals and budgets
Monitor and report on project costs, forecasts, and financial risks/opportunities
Support procurement and negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and legislative requirements
Attend site visits and client meetings to review progress and resolve cost-related matters
Stay current with market trends, material costs, and best practices in the commercial fit-out sector

Candidate Profile:
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years\’ experience in quantity surveying and estimating within the construction industry, ideally with a fit-out focus
Solid knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial delivery frameworks
Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team setting
