Role Overview:

We’re looking for a QA Data Analyst with an strong interest in, or experience of, data management and a strong understanding of assets within a facilities environment. You’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of property asset data, supporting system improvements, and maintaining confidence in the information used to manage buildings, spaces, and assets across the estate.

We’re looking for a QA Data Analyst to help ensure the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of our property asset data. You’ll play a hands-on role in checking data quality, supporting system improvements, and helping maintain confidence in the information we use to manage buildings, spaces, and assets across our estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data quality checks on asset and location data (e.g., rooms, plant, equipment, registers).
  • Assist in developing and applying data validation rules and business logic to identify anomalies or gaps.
  • Support the cleansing, standardization, and enrichment of data sets used in CAFM or EAM systems.
  • Work with internal teams (maintenance, estates, compliance) to verify and correct records where required.
  • Help track and report on data quality issues, trends, and progress using tools such as Excel or alike.
  • Support data migration and integration work between spreadsheets, systems, or platforms.
  • Assist with documenting processes, data definitions, and quality standards.
  • Help ensure that asset-related data complies with internal policies and external regulations.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Good working knowledge of Excel (lookups, pivot tables, error checking, formatting) and basic data handling.
  • A strong understanding of assets within property, estates, or buildings (e.g. HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing infrastructure, and fire safety equipment).
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking and improving data.
  • Comfortable working with structured data (e.g., tables, forms, registers).
  • Effective communication skills – able to raise questions and clarify issues with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to asset management, property maintenance, or compliance environments.
  • Familiarity with EAM, CAFM, CMMS, or similar systems (e.g., Maximo, Planon, Archibus, Concept, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of Power BI, SQL, or data validation tools.
  • Awareness of property asset compliance (e.g., statutory maintenance, lifecycle tracking).
