Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim Programme Manager to lead and coordinate a major construction programme over a 12-month period. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and managing complex programme schedules and must have a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle, specifically the RIBA Plan of Work stages.

This role is outside IR35, offers a competitive daily rate, and requires a candidate who holds current DV clearance and is a sole UK national due to the sensitivity of the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and monitor comprehensive programme schedules for construction projects, aligned with the RIBA stages.
  • Lead programme planning, coordination, and reporting across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure programme dependencies, risks, and milestones are clearly defined and proactively managed.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with delivery timelines.
  • Provide regular updates, reporting, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for programme delivery and scheduling assurance.
  • Maintain oversight of project interdependencies, identifying and mitigating potential conflicts.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven track record as a Programme Manager within the construction sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to pull together and manage complex construction programmes from inception through to completion.
  • Expertise in programme scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in high-security or classified environments.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current and active DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance.
  • Sole UK National – no dual nationality or other citizenships.
  • Availability to commit to a 12-month contract
