We are working with a leading facilities management provider that is looking to appoint a Head of Commercial Pricing — a strategic role focused on shaping commercial strategies, driving profitability, and supporting business growth across diverse contracts and clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of commercial pricing models and strong financial acumen to make a tangible impact in a forward-thinking FM environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee commercial pricing strategies across a broad FM service portfolio
- Build, adapt, and refine financial models to meet client and business needs
- Work closely with internal teams to provide pricing insight and commercial support for bids, renewals, and negotiations
- Ensure pricing models align with client requirements, service specifications, and industry best practices
- Analyse market trends, competitor data, and contract performance to continuously improve pricing models
- Support the creation of commercially sound, competitive, and profitable solutions
People Leadership:
- Provide direction and support to team members within the pricing function
- Lead by example and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
- Coach and mentor junior staff to enhance pricing capabilities across the business
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in commercial pricing, ideally within facilities management or a related sector
- Strong understanding of varied commercial models (e.g., fixed price, cost-plus, gainshare)
- Highly proficient in Excel, with the ability to build and manipulate complex financial models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage across all levels
Desirable:
- Familiarity with FM standards such as SFG20
- Experience working with procurement systems or financial databases
- Exposure to contract law and commercial agreements
- Membership of a relevant professional body
- Additional languages and/or a full UK driving license are advantageous
