We are partnering with a leading facilities management provider to recruit a Commercial Assistant for their Complex Facilities Team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) based in Barnsley, with hybrid working available.
We're looking for someone with some experience in a commercial role, ideally within a PFI (Private Finance Initiative) environment. The successful candidate will provide key support in the commercial delivery of a large Schools PFI contract.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that will involve a range of commercial administration duties, including:
- Setting up and maintaining subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Supporting monthly reporting cycles and maintaining financial records
- Keeping commercial admin tasks up to date and well-organised
- Attending and taking notes during monthly commercial meetings
- Supporting the wider commercial and operational teams with documentation and data input
Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a commercial assistant or administrator role, preferably within a PFI and facilities management environment.
Good understanding of commercial processes and contract administration.
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
