Mossview Care Home is a modern and welcoming residence located in the heart of Lochgelly, Fife. Providing exceptional Residential and Dementia care for up to 42 residents, our home blends contemporary comfort with compassionate support. We are now looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this key role, you will lead by example, supporting our residents to live fulfilled lives while guiding and inspiring your care team to deliver the highest standards of care.

Your Role

As Senior Care Assistant, you will take responsibility for coordinating the care team and ensuring each resident receives person-centred, dignified, and compassionate care. You will oversee medication administration and documentation, lead on care planning and risk assessments, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. You’ll also mentor and support colleagues, promoting teamwork and ensuring the smooth running of each shift. By maintaining a warm, supportive atmosphere, you’ll help create a positive environment where residents feel truly at home and staff can thrive.

What We’re Looking For

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum requirement)
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred) – or actively working towards it
  • Practical medication training with up-to-date competencies
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising care staff
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A kind, compassionate, and person-centred approach to care
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality support and promoting residents’ wellbeing
