Our care home is situated in the east end of Glasgow and is an impressive custom built facility, which provides care for up to 60 residents.

Contract: £13.52 per hour

Hours: Contracted to 16 hours per week

Benefits: Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided, 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview: As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains safe, well maintained and fully operational at all times. This is a hands-on role with responsibility, where your practical skills and proactive approach will directly support the safety, comfort and overall environment. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, inspections, installations and general upkeep. You will ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, identifying issues early and taking appropriate action. Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will support maintenance planning, compliance checks and contractor coordination where required. You will help maintain a well organised, safe and fully functional environment, ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role
  • Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
