Pay Scale: Grade F Point 17‑22, starting at Point 17

Actual annual salary: Β£22,045.25‑£23,947.61

Hours: 29 hours a week, term time only, plus 5 days

Flexibility in working days will be required to support the school's examination timetable

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

Mossley Hollins High School is seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer. This is a key role in a highly ambitious, oversubscribed school with a strong reputation for academic excellence, staff development and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be part of the Raising Achievement team and will take responsibility for the effective planning, organisation and delivery of all internal and external examinations. The role includes ensuring examinations run smoothly and in full compliance with JCQ regulations, creating the best possible environment for students to perform at their best.

Full training and support will be provided. Working alongside experienced staff, you will build specialist knowledge and develop a range of transferable skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and deliver all internal and external examinations.
  • Ensure examinations run smoothly and comply with JCQ regulations.
  • Support staff and students throughout the examination process.
  • Maintain accurate records and handle examination data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of examination policies.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work calmly under pressure.
  • Confidence using IT systems and working with data.
  • High levels of accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
