Quantity Surveyor Greater Manchester Up to £65,000 per annum Hours of Work: 35 per week Closing date: 7th February 2025 Interviews: To be confirmed At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Quantity Surveyor are key to making this happen. We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join our established team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of our projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of cost management, from initial estimates through to final accounts. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities. What does our Quantity Surveyor do; * Cost Management: Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans to ensure financial viability. * Feasibility Studies: Conducting studies to provide cost advice and assess project feasibility. * Progress Monitoring: Tracking project progress and financial performance, ensuring alignment with budgets. * Tender Documentation: Preparing tender documents and managing the procurement process for contractors and suppliers. * Stakeholder Liaison: Communicating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met effectively. * Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them. What we are looking for; * Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data and financial information to make informed decisions. * Attention to Detail: Precision in calculations and documentation to avoid costly errors. * Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. * Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating contracts and prices to achieve favourable terms. * Project Management: Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. * Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cost management software and tools relevant to quantity surveying. * Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
