At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Young Person Independent Living Officers are key to making this happen. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Foyer Manager, our Young Person Independent Living Officers provide support to vulnerable young people by ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and delivering tailored, person-centred support that promotes independence and personal growth. It also involves collaboration with key stakeholders and the promotion of the Foyer model to help young people thrive through structured opportunities and mentoring. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our YPILOs do:
- Conduct initial and comprehensive assessments for at-risk children and young people, providing direct support, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate services, including for mental health and neurodiversity needs.
- Manage safeguarding cases, maintain accurate records, attend statutory meetings, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
