We're looking for an Access Enforcement Officer to help us secure access to our properties, ensuring essential repairs, safety inspections and compliance activities can be carried out.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, you'll engage directly with residents, carry out property visits and gather evidence to help resolve access issues before formal enforcement action is required. Your proactive approach will play an important part in protecting customer safety, supporting regulatory compliance and ensuring effective landlord services.
What will our Access Enforcement Officer do;
-
Engage with residents to resolve access issues, explain landlord requirements and identify practical solutions, including supporting vulnerable residents where appropriate.
-
Carry out property visits to make contact, deliver approved notices and communications, gather evidence and accurately record access attempts and outcomes.
-
Support compliance activities by helping secure access for essential repairs, gas and electrical servicing, fire safety works, inspections and other landlord obligations.
-
Assist with enforcement cases by collating evidence, providing factual records and witness statements, and supporting authorised legal and enforcement activity.
-
Work collaboratively with Case Management Officers, legal teams, contractors, operational colleagues and external agencies, maintaining accurate records and following health and safety, safeguarding and data protection requirements.
What we are looking for;
-
You’ll be a confident communicator and problem-solver, with experience in a customer-facing role and the ability to handle challenging situations and difficult conversations professionally.
-
You’ll bring relevant experience from housing, repairs, compliance, enforcement or a similar service environment, along with strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and case information.
-
You’ll have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, a full UK driving licence, and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role.
-
Ideally, you’ll have experience working out in the community, including visiting properties, supporting vulnerable customers and working alongside contractors, partner organisations or external agencies.
-
Additional housing knowledge would be an advantage, particularly a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice or a qualification in housing, customer service, community engagement or a related discipline. Experience gathering evidence for enforcement, investigations or legal processes would also be beneficial.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
We offer a range of great benefits including:
-
Essential car user allowance to support you with car running costs
-
Flexibility on where you work with home working kit provided
