Moss - formerly Moss Bros - is reinventing itself, and a reinvention of the way it does marketing is at the heart of this. Our clothes, stores and pricing have evolved over the last few years, combining timeless tailoring with modern twists that reflect the evolving style of today’s customer. The sleek design and carefully curated product offering are a testament to the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation and quality, ensuring Moss stays at the forefront of menswear while remaining true to its heritage.

From relaxed suits to versatile separates and sustainable fabrics, Moss has reinvented its wardrobe, but not enough customers - or potential customers - know about this. We want to change that, with a major advertising campaign centred on the idea that Moss clothes help men feel more confident about themselves, whether at work, a wedding, or for a casual weekend look. This is part of a significant increase in Moss’s investment in marketing - both in people and the resources available to them.

We’re looking for smart and collaborative marketers with a range of skills to join the team and be a part of turning Moss from a well-kept secret to a go-to brand for men of style and substance, with the ambition to develop and grow their own skills and career opportunities at the same time.

Purpose of this Role

As part of the CRM team, reporting to the Email Marketing Manager, the Email Developer will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, responsive and performant marketing and transactional emails for Moss. This role will own the build, testing, and deployment of emails in our marketing automation platform (Bloomreach), helping to ensure campaigns are accurate, accessible, and impactful across all devices. The successful candidate will combine technical proficiency with attention to detail and a strong understanding of CRM best practice. They will collaborate closely with a range of teams to deliver personalised, insight-driven emails that drive engagement and revenue, while helping push our CRM capability forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate creative briefs and mockups into high-performing email builds across campaign and lifecycle journeys.
  • Execute A/B tests, dynamic content blocks, and modular email templates based on customer segments or behaviours.
  • Troubleshoot rendering or functionality issues and optimise for deliverability.
  • Work closely with the CRM and Analytics teams to ensure personalisation, data integration and campaign tagging is accurate and effective.
  • Maintain and optimise a scalable, modular email template system to ensure brand consistency and production efficiency.
  • Ensure email content adheres to accessibility best practices (ARIA, alt text, semantic HTML, etc.).
  • Stay current on email marketing trends, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and coding standards.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Solid hands-on experience in email development using HTML and responsive frameworks.
  • Familiarity with at least one enterprise-level ESP (e.g., Bloomreach, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Braze, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of email rendering challenges and solutions across major clients (Outlook, Gmail, iOS, etc.).
  • Experience using QA/testing tools (Litmus, Email on Acid, etc.).
  • Understanding of personalisation logic, dynamic content, and CRM data structures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within fast-paced campaign timelines.
  • Experience working in a fashion or retail business.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for email.

Desired Qualities

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented. Can independently resolve issues and suggest improvements.
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a structured, organised way.
  • Collaborative: works well with design, marketing, analytics, and wider business teams.
