We are looking for an experienced L&D Project Consultant to lead the delivery of a high-profile people development project within our retail business. This is a project-focused role, responsible for designing and delivering a key leadership and capability initiative that will support future talent development across our retail estate. Working closely with senior retail and people team stakeholders, you will manage project activity from discovery through to final recommendations and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded L&D professional who enjoys working autonomously, managing stakeholders, and delivering tangible outcomes within a defined timeframe.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading a strategic L&D project from initiation to completion.
  • Managing project milestones, timelines, risks and deliverables.
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder consultations to gather insight and shape recommendations.
  • Developing practical frameworks, tools and supporting materials.
  • Building strong relationships with leaders across the business to gain alignment and engagement.
  • Presenting progress updates, findings and recommendations to project sponsors.
  • Delivering a comprehensive project handover and implementation roadmap.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience delivering L&D, leadership development projects.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and pace.
  • A pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience).

You will be an experienced consultant, project lead or L&D professional who thrives on delivering meaningful projects within fast-paced environments. You are comfortable operating independently, bringing structure, momentum and clarity to complex pieces of work. Most importantly, you enjoy turning ideas into practical solutions and building strong partnerships with stakeholders at all levels.

Please note this is a contract engagement and not a permanent employee position. Candidates must be comfortable operating as an independent consultant and working on a day-rate basis.
