The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our dedicated team as a Learning Support Assistant and Midday Assistant. This is a rewarding and varied role where you will play a key part in supporting pupils with a range of learning needs. Working closely with class teachers, you will deliver targeted support on a one-to-one basis and within small groups, helping children to access learning and reach their full potential. In addition, you will contribute to the safe and positive supervision of pupils during lunchtime, supporting children both in the dining hall and out on the playground.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils’ learning, personal development and inclusion in line with the school’s ethos and policies
- Provide high-quality learning experiences and care for all children
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support individuals and small groups
- Build positive and effective relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment
About You
- Has experience working with children in a school setting (desirable)
- Has knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEND (preferred)
- Demonstrates strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Is nurturing, patient and able to build strong relationships
- Brings enthusiasm, flexibility and a positive attitude to the role
