Based in the heart of the beautiful spa townof Harrogate, our practice serves a growing population of over 20,000 patients. Youwill work as an autonomous practitioner delivering high-quality clinical care,while benefiting from the support of an experienced and approachable team.Weare particularly interested in candidates with - or who are keen to develop - aspecial interest in womens health.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Provide a full range of GPconsultations:

  • Face-to-face
  • Telephone and digitalconsultations
  • Online/triage systems

Deliver safe, effective, andpatient-centred care

Manage both acutepresentations and long-term conditions

Promote health education,prevention, and self-care

Support patients with familyplanning and sexual health needs

Work collaboratively withinthe MDT to deliver integrated care

Participate in triage and dutydoctor roles on a rota basis

Maintain accurate and timelyclinical records in SystmOne

As arepresentative of the practice and the NHS, you will demonstrateprofessionalism, compassion, and a commitment to excellence in everything youdo.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Deliver a wide range ofgeneral practice consultations, including face-to-face appointments, telephone and online consultations, Triage through Accurx and home visits.
  • Manage both urgent and routinepresentations for registered and non-registered patients
  • Contribute to and supportchronic disease management programmes
  • Provide safe, effective, andevidence-based clinical care
  • Work collaboratively toachieve and maintain QOF targets
  • Actively contribute to weeklymultidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
  • Liaise with external agencies,voluntary organisations, and the wider healthcare team
  • Participate in clinical auditsand quality improvement initiatives
  • Support the ongoingdevelopment and innovation of practice services
  • Opportunity to contribute tothe teaching of medical students & GP Registrars
  • Support the practice inmaintaining its GP training status
  • Attend mandatory androle-specific training as agreed with your clinical lead
  • Participate in regularclinical and practice meetings
  • Adhere to all practicepolicies, procedures, and employment standards
  • Engage in Performance andDevelopment Reviews (PDRs)

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • GP within 2 years of CCT
  • GMC registration

Experience

  • GP within 2 years of CCT (ARRS eligibility)
  • Registered with the GMC and on the GP Register
  • Interest or experience in womens health

Interpersonal and communication skills

  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality primary care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach
  • Enthusiasm for teaching, training, or service development
  • Experience in quality improvement or audit
