Hall Green School is a very popular, heavily oversubscribed and academically successful 11‑16 Converter Academy. It is a highly diverse institution, both ethnically and physically inclusive, attracting pupils from across the city. The school prides itself on being warm, inclusive and welcoming, with positive relationships at the centre of what we do. The school is part of the newly formed West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT) which opened in January 2025. As one of the three founding members, the school has been integral to forming the Trust’s mission: Relentless focus upon delivering an excellent quality of education, resulting in strong progress and attainment for all groups of pupils. Emphasis upon personal development and well‑being for staff and pupils.
Working hours: 37 hours per week excluding a 30‑minute lunch break – Monday to Friday, term‑time only + 1 week.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the administration, organisation and smooth running of all examinations.
- Be responsible for examination entries for external exams to the examination boards for public and GCSE exams.
- Liaise with Heads of Department and KS4 Coordinators on entries.
- Disseminate information about public exams to staff, pupils and parents.
- Deal with complaints and queries about public examinations, including one‑to‑one meetings with parents.
- Handle and ensure the security of examination papers as they arrive.
- Recruit, interview, manage and lead a team of invigilators.
