Building Services Manager

Position Base: Victoria School /Victoria College campus, Northfield B31 1LD
Permanent Full time – 36.5 hours per week / 52 weeks per year
Working Pattern:
- 5:30 am to 1:30 pm (Monday to Thursday)
- 5:30 am to 12:30 pm (Friday)
(occasionally some weekend and out of hours work will be required)
The successful candidate will be a committed, reliable and self‑motivated person, able to form positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. They will work closely with the Site Manager and share responsibility for the security, safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the estate, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school/college community. The role includes coordination and management of external contractors and a requirement to undertake reactive repairs and maintenance across the campus.
Key Requirements
- Hard working and flexible, able to meet the physical demands detailed in the job description.
- Demonstrated practical skills to undertake a range of general grounds maintenance, decorating, repairs and property maintenance issues.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a wider team.
- Responsibility for keyholding and responding to out of hours alarm call-outs (on occasion), requiring a flexible approach to work hours.
- Based at the Victoria campus but may be required to support other nearby settings in the federation when required.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role. The Federation is committed to safeguarding. Successful applicants will be required to obtain a DBS enhanced disclosure.
