About the Role
As Clerk to LGB for Wickham Common Primary School you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of meetings, maintaining accurate records, and advising on legal and procedural matters.
This is a term-time-only role that offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- To liaise with the Chair of Governors and Headteacher to set agendas for six meetings per year.
- To circulate documentation prior to each meeting.
- To attend six LGB meetings per academic year - approx. 2 hours in duration.
- To produce accurate, concise and timely minutes.
- To support the board with ad hoc meetings.
- To provide advice on governance, procedural and constitutional matters.
The successful candidate will
- Display a high standard of verbal and written communication.
- Be capable of minuting discussions effectively, accurately and appropriately and be mindful of the sensitive nature of some discussions.
- Be organised, flexible and able to work well under pressure.
- Be competent in the use of ICT.
