A well-established, global organisation operating within the food and FMCG sector, with international supply chain operations. The business continues to grow and is seeking additional support within its supply chain function to maintain high service levels.
Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a fast-paced and busy team. Reporting into the Supply Chain function and working closely with commercial and logistics teams, this role is key to ensuring the smooth end-to-end operation of supply chain activities both within the UK and internationally.
This position would suit someone with 2-5 years experience in a similar role, who is highly organised, numerate, and confident working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new contracts received from commercial stakeholders
- Manage foreign currency purchasing and allocation against supplier invoices
- Upload contracts onto internal systems and issue order confirmations to customers and suppliers
- Plan production schedules with suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to:
- Track orders from shipment through to delivery
- Provide regular updates to customers
- Raise letters of credit on a weekly basis
- Track and manage new product introductions
- Produce weekly stock and inventory reports
- Update import and licence documentation and manage bond clearance actions
- Issue customer invoices
- Support stock forecasting activities
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach
- Monitor usage of import licences, track imports into the UK, and administer related invoices
- Provide general administrative and office support as required
The Person
- 2-5 years experience in a similar supply chain or coordination role
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Excellent customer service approach
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to multitask
- Confident working with numbers and data
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel skills (working with multiple linked spreadsheets daily)
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to use own initiative
- Team-oriented with a collaborative working style
- Full UK driving licence
