The Opportunity
Mosaic Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Business Analyst for an established Hertfordshire-based organisation on an approximately 18-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is a varied role combining business analysis, process improvement, technology and project support. Working closely with Project Managers and teams across the organisation, you'll analyse processes, gather requirements and identify practical ways technology can improve efficiency and ways of working.
This isn't a purely traditional BA role. You'll also provide hands-on support for business systems and technology, so it will suit someone who combines strong analytical skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and map business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Gather, document and manage business requirements through to validation and sign-off.
- Produce process maps, requirements documents, findings reports and project documentation.
- Use existing Microsoft technology, including Power Automate, SharePoint and Power BI, to improve processes and reporting.
- Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scripts, issue tracking and resolution.
- Analyse data and produce reports to support decision-making and measure improvements.
- Provide second-line support for business systems, laptops, mobile devices and day-to-day technology queries.
- Liaise with third-party technology suppliers, managing support tickets and service requests.
- Support Project Managers with documentation, trackers, meetings and project coordination.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation skills.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with UAT and project/change environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Some experience providing hands-on systems or technical support.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in a regulated or compliance-led environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Visio, workflow automation, SDLC, continuous improvement or Lean/Six Sigma would also be beneficial, although you don't need to be an expert in every area.
What's on Offer?
- £42,000 per annum
- Approximately 18-month fixed-term maternity cover
- September 2026 start
- Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days home
- Comprehensive handover with the existing postholder
- Varied role spanning Business Analysis, technology and projects
- Supportive and collaborative working environment
If you're an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys getting involved beyond the traditional BA remit and likes combining process improvement, technology, stakeholder engagement and hands-on problem-solving, we'd love to hear from you.
