We underwrite for close to 30 top-rated insurers and syndicates alongside our own Lloyd’s Syndicate 1609—offering worldwide access, coupled with local insights, across seven lines of business from seven regions.
Mosaic is looking for an experienced underwriter to join our Professional Lines team in London. This is a rare opportunity to take a meaningful role in a market leading team and further develop your career.
Responsibilities- Execute underwriting strategy
- Business development including identifying distribution, products and building relationships
- Analyzing risk, setting pricing and undertaking policy review
- Underwriting in accordance with business plan and Underwriting Guidelines
- Travel and engagement with intermediaries and clients
- Monitor and report on key metrics
- 5 or more years’ experience in underwriting Professional Lines
- Ability to develop business
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Highly focused, enthusiastic and creative thinker
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to negotiate with sophisticated advisors and clients
- Ability to be proactive, work independently and make decisions
- Competency in drafting
