Mosaic is looking to hire a Claims Adjuster experienced in Professional Liability, Financial Institutions and D&O. This role is suitable for an individual currently in a claims adjuster role with four to six years of experience. The role will report to one of Mosaic’s finpro claims managers and may also be involved in claims across other Mosaic lines of business. The position is located in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day management of own portfolio of claims and associated tasks arising from caseload
- Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine extent of exposure to insured and company
- Directly and closely monitor assignments to experts and defence counsel
- Provide outstanding customer service and build longstanding relationships with insureds, brokers, and partners
- Communicate coverage positions to insureds
- Set and monitor reserves within authority
- Report to reinsurers and other insurance partners
- Support business leaders on an as‑needed basis on claims and underwriting related issues
- Attend mediations and trials as necessary
Skills, Experience and Education
- Four to six years of experience as a claims adjuster in the London market handling professional indemnity or financial institutions claims
- Knowledge of industry best practices and systems, including ECF
- Strong relationship‑management skills, particularly in adverse or high‑pressure situations
- Ability to work independently
- Experience of working with Lloyd’s/Lloyd’s certifications a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills; ability to deal with customers and business partners in a professional manner
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based on detailed analysis of complex issues
- Entrepreneurial nature of company necessitates willingness to adapt as needed to help team
- Educated to at least A‑level standard
The successful candidate will be required to study towards CII qualifications, if not already obtained.
