Mosaic Economics is an independent economic intelligence and strategic advisory firm supporting organisations across EMEA, with specialist expertise in the Middle East and North Africa.

We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Specialist to establish and grow Mosaic’s client base.

Working closely with the Chief Economist, you will identify prospective clients, develop relationships with senior decision-makers and help convert opportunities into recurring intelligence, research and advisory engagements.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritise prospective corporate clients across EMEA.
  • Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline.
  • Lead targeted outreach through Linked In, email, referrals, events and professional networks.
  • Arrange and support introductory meetings with senior decision-makers.
  • Understand prospective clients’ commercial needs and identify relevant Mosaic services.
  • Support proposals, follow-ups, negotiations and conversion of opportunities.
  • Develop long-term client relationships and identify repeat or recurring business.
  • Maintain CRM records and track pipeline, meetings, proposals and conversions.
  • Identify partnerships, tenders and other routes to market.
  • Provide feedback on client demand to help refine Mosaic’s services and commercial strategy.

About you

You should have experience in B2B business development, sales or client acquisition, ideally within consulting, research, professional services, market intelligence or a related field.

You will need strong communication, research and relationship-building skills, confidence engaging senior professionals, and the ability to work independently in an early-stage business.

Experience or networks across MENA, economic research, consulting or corporate strategy would be an advantage.

Success in the role

Success will be measured by the quality of the client pipeline, qualified meetings generated, new clients secured, recurring revenue developed and long-term relationships established.

This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in building the commercial growth of Mosaic Economics and to develop with the business as it expands.
