Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Group Management Accountant in a newly created position to support the Finance Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Management Accountant to take ownership of the finance function across a group of companies, with real scope to add value and influence decision-making at a senior level.
Working closely with the MD and FD, you will be responsible for the preparation and oversight of the management accounts function across the group, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by the FD
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of inter-company balances and reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliation of stock and involvement in annual stocktakes across three group entities
- Fixed asset management and maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Cashflow forecasting and ongoing cash management
- Weekly debtor reporting across the group, monitoring cash collection and aged debt
- Supporting with payroll processes, including year-end payroll reconciliations
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within the finance function
- Providing financial insight and support to senior stakeholders to aid decision-making
We are looking for a committed and reliable individual who takes pride in their work and is keen to establish themselves within a business for the long term.
- ACCA/CIMA qualification (or be a technically strong QBE with relevant experience)
- Strong management accounting experience, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs)
- Construction sector experience (including domestic reverse charge VAT and retentions)
- Payroll knowledge and experience
- Experience using Xero
Part-time role (3 days per week) with flexibility on working hours - office based role. Flexibility on working days (ideally Monday, Wednesday, Friday preferred). 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata). On-site parking. Scope to make an impact and shape the finance function.
