An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Project Support professional to join a highly respected organisation operating across England and Wales during a significant business-wide transformation programme. This organisation is currently undergoing a period of major change and growth, including the implementation of a state-of-the-art integrated HR and Payroll system. With approximately 1,000 employees across three payrolls, the business is embarking on a project to streamline and consolidate payroll processes, creating an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to play a key role in this transformation.
This role sits within the payroll team and will work closely with the Finance Director and Payroll Transformation Manager, supporting the implementation of a new HR/Payroll and Time & Attendance system. It’s an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a high-profile transformation project that will add real value to your CV.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide payroll support throughout a major HR/Payroll system implementation project
- Assist with data preparation, cleansing and migration as part of the new system rollout
- Support the consolidation of three existing payrolls into a streamlined structure
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in payroll data entry and validation
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll information is accurate and up to date
- Support testing, reporting and process improvements throughout the transformation project
- Assist the Payroll Transformation Manager with project-related tasks and payroll process documentation
We are looking for an individual who brings energy, dynamism and attention to detail, and who genuinely wants to contribute to a meaningful project. You will ideally have:
- Previous payroll experience within a medium or large organisation
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- Experience working with high volumes of payroll data
- Strong data entry and data accuracy skills
- Experience with Sage Payroll (highly advantageous)
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively during periods of change
- A positive mindset and a desire to make a real difference
- Be part of a major transformation project implementing a modern HR/Payroll system
