A superb organisation based on the outskirts of Cardiff is looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be part of a small payroll function responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll services for a growing client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 200 employees.
  • Onboard new clients and ensure payments are processed in line with HMRC reporting requirements.
  • Run P45s, P60s, and ensure all payroll changes, statutory payments, and member updates are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the wider finance team with customer billing, reconciliations, online payments, and updating daily cashbook records.
  • Maintain full compliance and deliver an excellent level of service to clients.
About You:
  • Previous payroll experience (minimum 12 months) within a similar role is essential.
  • Highly organised and process-driven, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working to strict deadlines and following established processes.
  • Experience with Xero would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills — confident liaising with clients over the phone.
