Finance Systems Lead

Location: South Wales (Hybrid) or London – up to £90,000 basic salary plus annual performance bonus.

This role is a strategic position that blends finance expertise, systems leadership, transformation, and technology partnership. The Finance Systems Lead will work closely with the Finance Director and CFO to shape the finance function across a rapidly growing international business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the Finance Technology Ecosystem – act as subject‑matter expert, drive ERP and finance platform enhancements, ensure scalability, and champion best practice in governance and data integrity.
• Lead AI & Automation Initiatives – identify opportunities, partner stakeholders to redesign processes, deliver smarter reporting and forecasting, and drive innovation.
• Deliver Strategic Transformation Projects – lead end‑to‑end implementation and transformation projects, manage multiple workstreams and vendors, drive testing, change management, training, and successful adoption.
• Enable Better Business Decisions – enhance reporting, analytics and self‑service insights, develop dashboards and performance metrics, and improve data quality and accessibility across the organisation.
• Partner with Senior Finance Leadership – align finance systems strategy with business objectives, provide trusted advisory on process improvement, reporting capabilities, and technology investment decisions.

About You

• Finance or accountancy background with a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.
• Experience within Finance, Accounting, ERP Systems, Finance Transformation or Financial Systems leadership.
• Proven track record delivering ERP, finance systems or digital transformation projects.
• Practical experience with Yardi Voyager or a comparable ERP platform.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience implementing automation, workflow improvements or AI‑enabled solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Confidence working closely with CFOs, Finance Directors, senior finance leaders, IT teams and third‑party vendors.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools is advantageous.
• Enjoy solving complex problems, challenging traditional processes, and using technology to create meaningful business impact.
