Morva Recruitment is proud to be working with a successful and expanding South West Construction based business to recruit a Senior Estimator for their newly developed offices in Redruth. This is a newly created position due to continued growth, joining an established estimating team as the company moves into an exciting new phase of development across Cornwall and the wider South West. If you are commercially astute, thrive on securing new projects, and want to be part of a business where your contribution genuinely matters, this could be an excellent next step.
The Role
- Prepare detailed and competitive tenders within required timescales
- Provide regular updates on tender progress and pipeline activity
- Liaise with Buyers and colleagues regarding material enquiries and pricing
- Ensure all enquiries are completed efficiently and within deadlines
- Communicate with relevant authorities and external stakeholders where required
- Maintain awareness of current Health & Safety legislation and best practice
- Support the wider team and business with additional duties where needed
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with company procedures to maintain ISO, SMAS, CHAS and Achilles accreditations
About You
- Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and organised approach
- Construction sector experience highly desirable
